Ion The Prize

📍 San Francisco & California

Ion The Prize is a genre-fluid DJ, music producer and curator with more than nine years of performing experience and 400+ events across California. Based in San Francisco, Ion has spent nearly a decade shaping and evolving the sound of the city’s queer nightlife while bringing his music to clubs, festivals and events throughout the state. A skillful selector and conscientious chameleon, Ion crafts dynamic, up-to-date and uniquely told DJ sets that bring together purposeful song choices, unexpected connections, and his own remixes and original productions. His sound moves fluidly between dance pop, house, hip-hop, UK garage, disco, mashups and club music, with an emphasis on sets that feel confident, inclusive, seductive and uplifting. Ion is a longtime resident of Oasis Nightclub and the PRINCESS party, with additional residencies and appearances throughout the Bay Area. His performances have included Outside Lands Festival, the SF Pride Parade, Downtown First Thursdays, Bootie Mashups, Comfort & Joy, DAD, Polyglamorous Pink Block, Powerhouse, Public Works and Young Hearts. With a deep background in music curation and digital production, Ion approaches every dancefloor as both a selector and a storyteller — reading the room, taking creative risks and finding the moments where a great song becomes an unforgettable one.
