NOVA TRACE began his journey as a beat maker and DJ in Lowell, Massachusetts, spinning at college parties, underground events, and collaborating with local rap talent. His hustle caught the attention of a record label in LA, leading him to the West Coast where he signed a publishing deal and began working at a studio referred to him by his mentor and friend. Managing the studio, he offered opportunities to his friends, helping them elevate their own musical journeys. Originally known as nofugazi beats for his trap, hip-hop, and genre-spanning projects, he launched NOVA TRACE to carve out a space for his house music ambitions. The project’s origins trace back to a Spotify playlist called Night Rider—a deep house and progressive house soundtrack that fueled the quiet chaos of New Hampshire’s summer nights and nighttime highway drives. Driven by a passion for blending melodic soundscapes with dark, pulsating rhythms, NOVA TRACE draws inspiration from artists like Rufus Du Sol, Ekali, and Christoph. After years of quietly mastering his craft, 2025 marks his official debut, fusing six years of production experience into a fresh and compelling sound
